Join MIAD faculty and students at the Jobs at Art Museums (JAM) an all-day museum career awareness event at the Art Institute of Chicago. Area students and emerging job seekers, as well as college and university faculty, are invited to visit the museum where they will experience student-led gallery presentations, a panel conversation with Art Institute staff, and intimate breakout sessions with museum professionals representing a variety of departments and fields.
This event is free for MIAD students, staff, and faculty.

10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Student Art Talks
Student representatives from different colleges and universities invite their peers to engage in conversations about works of art in the Art Institute’s galleries.
1:00 p.m.–2:15 p.m. Museum Careers Panel
Attend a panel featuring museum professionals who will discuss their diverse roles and dynamic career paths.
2:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m. Museum Staff Breakout Sessions
Join smaller group conversations in the areas of museum work that interest you! You will have time to attend two conversations. Topics and locations to come.
3:30 p.m.–4:45 p.m. Reception
Meet peers from different colleges and universities, Art Institute intern alumni, and museum professionals at a reception in the Art Institute’s Stock Exchange Room. Chat with HR representatives to learn more about internships and job opportunities.
