Knowing what is important to you (what you value the most, or your vision for you) can make a huge difference in your attitude and choices. When you are aware of how choices you make can support or thwart your efforts to move toward what is important to you, choices come easily. When you consistently choose what pulls you closer to what you value the most, you are less stressed and anxious, because you more consistently act in accordance with your own best interest! Try to take some time at the beginning of the new semester and reflect on your own values and your vision of the you that you want to be. Write down your vision and keep it somewhere you can easily pull it out to remind yourself when you need it.
