Asian Creative Union (ACU) presents Between Roots and Routes: A Letter From the Midwest, a juried group exhibition curated by ACU’s board members. Located at satélite within Villa Arco, the exhibition features works of Asian American students at Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. Juried by a panel of three jurors, the exhibited artists have a chance to win cash prizes at the closing reception. Artists were asked to imagine writing a “letter” to a person, place, or thing–what would you want to say? We invited works that explore how the themes of home, connection/disconnection, and communication influenced their everyday experiences, especially within the Midwest.
